Many members of the management team have been part of the ‘La Maternelle Family’ for over 10 years. We achieve and maintain the highest of standards at the Nursery by investing in the quality and level of expertise of the management team.
Each nursery has two full time Supernumerary Nursery Managers. The Managers support & drive the continued quality & development of the Nursery and staff team. As part of their role, they prioritise spending time in rooms observing, reviewing & supporting the development of practice. They work closely with the staff team to mentor and support them to professionally develop & ensure the quality of care provided is high & in line with the settings ethos, policies & procedures. Managers support and inspire both staff and children with their learning and development.
Outdoor access is a priority for children at La Maternelle. The nursery is designed so that all rooms are provided with a separate outdoor area directly accessible from the room.
All babies and children have access to these areas throughout the day to ensure they get the fresh air, space & a variety of experiences which is vital to young children’s learning, development & health.
They are designed specifically for the age range of the room to include developmentally appropriate resources and experiences. They are also designed with safety & accessibility in mind. We want children to be able to get outside as much as possible throughout the day. The surfaces ensure that children can enjoy the outdoors all day, every day so long as they are dressed for the weather.
